Son Murders Father In Ebonyi State

A son, John over the weekend killed his
father, Mr. Ikor Itumo in Ndufu, Ikwo local
government area of Ebonyi Statefor being to
old.
The Nation gathered that the suspect reportedly
suffering from mental problems was said to have
beheaded his father and took the lifeless head of his
late father to Edukwu Unwu-essa playground in the
area, as a mark of heroism for the entire Uduku
Ettam Okpitumo community to see, according to
eyewitness.
According to sources, after news of John's dastardly
act went round the community, a search party led
by youths in the area was immediately conducted
leading to the discovery of the cutlass the suspect
used.
The Nation gathered that the suspect was later
apprehended by the youths and handed over to the
police for interrogation into the circumstances that
led to the death of the deceased.
Meanwhile the suspect who apparently doesn't see
the crime in what he did said: "My father had
become older than my late grandfather, therefore he
deserved to be killed. He was no more useful to the
society because of his old age."
