First executive governor of Osun State,
Senator Isiaka Adeleke, chairman of Cocoa
Research Institute of Nigeria, CRIN, Ibadan,
Chief Francis Fadahunsi and an associate of
President Goodluck Jonathan, Dr. Daisi Aina,
yesterday emerged senatorial candidates of
their respective parties.

Fadahunshi and Aina emerged Peoples
Democratic Party, PDP, candidates for Osun
East and Osun Central, while Senator Adeleke
won All Progressives Congress, APC, ticket to
contest the seat of Osun West in next year's

Former Minister of Youth Affairs, Senator
Akinlabi Olasunkanmi, had earlier been
unanimously adopted as PDP candidate for
Osun West senatorial district.

At the primary election held yesterday,

Iresi, where President Jonathan observed his

pick the ticket for Osun Central.

Two senatorial candidates of APC have earlier
emerged. Senator Babajide Omoworare and
