According to reports, at least 120 people were killed
and 270 others wounded when two suicide bombers
blew themselves up and gunmen opened fire during
weekly prayers on Friday at the Grand Mosque in
Kano.
The comment from the Pope is coming after he was
took part in a Muslim prayer with the Grand Mufti of
Istanbul on his second leg of his three day visit to
Turkey.
Pope Francis was photographed alongside the Grand
Mufti as he clasped his hands for a two minute silent
prayer in the 17th-century Sultan Ahmet mosque,
aiming to show respect for Islam and encourage
