Tourists End Up Behind Bars After Hot Air Balloon Forced to Land in Indian Prison

Two female
foreign tourist have been forced to be prison
guests after the hot air balloon carrying them
decided to land inside an Indian prison despite
their efforts to change route. ABC reports:
The two sisters from the West Indies were
enjoying a ride over the desert in the
western state of Rajasthan when strong
winds blew their balloon off course.
Its pilot lost control and was forced to make
an emergency landing – reportedly landing
in a prison yard, much to the amazement of
jail officers.
"When the operator saw that they were
sailing over the Ana Sagar Lake, he got
alarmed and tried to control the movement
of the balloon," local police inspector
Hanuman Vishnoi told the Indian Express.
"The nearest landing was the police lines
and even though he steered towards it, the
strong winds made the balloon travel further
up to Ajmer jail."
