Nigerian troops have taken over the entire city of
Chibok in Borno state from the hand of the dreaded
Boko Haram militants who captured it few days ago.
This was made known in a statement issued by the
Deputy Director of 7th Division of the Nigerian Army
on Sunday.
According to Colonel Sani Usman, the military is still
carrying out the mopping-up operation of the
surrounding environment to ensure Chibok has been
fully secured.
As at the time of this report, Chibok residents are yet
to return home.
