Desmond Elliot Agrees Nigerian Celebrities Joining Politics For Money

Nollywood actor Desmond Elliot has disagreed with
some of his colleagues over their intention
for rushing into politics.
This year alone over 5 Nollywood celebrities have
picked up election nomination forms from their
respective political parties.
During interview, many of these entertainers denied
joining politics for monetary gain but in a recent
chat with Desmond Elliot, reverse is the case. The
actor said many of them are in it for the money

Interviewer: Many people believe that entertainers
are getting into politics because of money?
Desmond Elliot: Granted, yes, there's money in
politics but have you asked yourself one question, is
it sand that you use to play politics? The answer is
No. What you're playing politics with is money. I'm
not so much into what government is going to be
giving as allowance, my idea as a fresh mind is how
to harness the resources around me and provide for
the people.
Nollywood celebrities running for election next year
include Desmond, Kate Henshaw, Funke Adesiyan,
Bob Manuel Udokwu, Jibola Dabo and many others.
