Fashola talk am.
Lagos state governor Babatunde Raji Fashola has
banned indecent dressing among female public
servants.
Any form of dresses that leave breasts and other
sensitive body parts exposed have been banned.
Fashola made this decision due to increase cases of
indecency among female workers at LAG secretariat
in Alausa Ikeja, Lagos
Critics have observed that all forms of skimpy
dresses or mini skirts, tight trousers revealing the
contours, sleeveless dresses and blouses and body
clinging dresses are worn by some female public
servants as they walk about the secretariat.
A new dress code has been introduced.
In the dress code for men, Admin officers must wear
suit and tie while Junior and clerical staff are
permitted to wear shirts and trousers. Native wear is
not allowed.
The same applies to female public servants. All tight
trousers and tops have been banned. Gowns to be
worn by female public servants must be of knee
level, moderate slit, not sleeveless and not body
clinging.
