Pope Francis is 2013 TIME Magazine ‘Person of the Year’

Jorge Mario Bergoglio widely otherwise known as
Pope Francis has been named as TIME
Magazine's 'Person of the Year' for 2013.
'He took the name of a humble saint and then
called for a church of healing. The first non-
European pope in 1,200 years is poised to
transform a place that measures change by the
century', contributing writers Howard Chua-
Eoan and Elizabeth Dias say of the 76-year-old.
Francis is the first Jesuit pope, the first pope from
the Americas, the first from the Southern
Hemisphere and the first non-European Pope since
Pope Gregory III.
He recently revealed that before the Jesuits, he
worked as a bar bouncer.
