Human right activists under the umbrella of CDHR
(Committee for Defence of Human Rights) took to the
streets of Lagos state Nigeria today to protest the
unjust murder of former President of ASUU, Prof
Festus Iyayi that happened during an accident
involving the convoy of Kogi State Governor Idris
Wada few weeks ago.
CDHR members carried out the protest in defence of
their member, late Iyayi and accused the Federal
Government of Nigeria of murdering Iyayi using Kogi
State Governor.
A week before his death, Festus Iyayi had a lengthy
meeting with President Jonathan in Abuja on matters
relating to ASUU strike and the warring lecturers.
Check out some photos from the protest
May his soul rest in perfect peace.
